New member with a new to me Jeep seeking advice

Hello all, so excited to be a Jeep owner and joining this community. The Jeep we purchased is completely stock and garage kept. I'm interested in getting some advice about lifting the Jeep and will also increase the stock tire size. I'm not looking to compete at the Jeep fest rally's just want it to look like a Jeep and not a car.(it's sooo low). Most of our time will be driving on dirt roads in North Ga, Tennessee and North Carolina and doing some (basic) trails. I would like to hear about brands, reliability, for anywhere from 1" to 3.5" lifts plus the increased tire size. Thanks in advance

2.5” and 32’s works well.
2.5” +1.25” and 33’s is a tried and true formula.

OME springs, Rancho 5000x shocks
4” backspacing

I never liked mine. It showed every scratch from the tires throwing up rocks. Not sure why. ;)

I would wheel it like it is, then solve the problems for where you are wheeling.

If you are staying light to moderate trails then 33's will be more than sufficient to do all you want and still have a lot of fun doing it. 35's are a great size as well, and if you have a manual work pretty well with rubicon 4:10s.

The bigger the tires on light trails... the less fun.

Priorities for me if starting over:
1) Steel, solid, actual rock sliders to protect my sides.
2) Stubby steel bumper with solid recovery points, and a good winch.
3) High clearance rear bumper with solid recovery points.
4) Tummy Tuck (get rid of the shovel), with SYE, and transfer case shift cable, and either Adams or Woods drive shafts.
5) Oil tank skid, steer box skid.
6) High clearance / high capacity gas tank / with solid skid.
7) JL control arm swap (or Savvy mid arm if you have the $$$)
8) WJ knuckle swap

Lockers, lights and other luxuries would be way down the line, after lots of wheeling.

... How it started vs how it's going...

Beautiful rig. Looks really good. I can see a little bigger tire and some lift for looks - if desired.

Thank you, we share the same thoughts. I thin I found a really clean Tj and do Intend to put a 2.5 lift, going to run some 1.5 spacers on the stock wheel set up until I can find wheels with -19mm offset and & Tires with 32" height and 11-12" width.

Congrats! We love pics of Jeeps so definitely show us your new rig! What size tires are you looking to run, and what kind of trails or off-roading will you be doing (if any)?

You mentioned your Jeep is slow, which engine and transmission do you have? This info can help us give recommendations based on your needs.

I think I'm going with 32's in the future, Plan on some light trails and lots of dirt roads in the GA mountains.

Hey bud, I said so low , not slow, That's okay, I can see by the way I typed it. But since you brought up "slow" it does have some of that too!...lol....She is very sensitive off the line but fades quickly around 40mph. not a lot of power even while under way for passing either. My daily is the Ford 150 Hybrid so it's a major adjustment when I'm in the Jeep.

Stock height TJ here, in your area too - these things can go just about anywhere around here so unless you want lift for aesthetics, you really don't have to do anything to it for light off-roading - mine had 31s for tires when I bought it and I don't feel the need to go bigger

Thanks for your advice appreciate it
