I recently bought an 05 TJ unlimited. When I bought it they had recently lifted it and now reverse pops out often. So I tried to lower the skid plate of of the diff to see if it helps. The problem I have is the shifter is hitting where the arm attaches to the base. There's a 45 torx inside a3-4" round tube. I'd like to replace that with a shift arm that just screws In and doesn't take up as much space not sure where to find one. If anyone has an idea please let me know.

Thanks

Is there a body lift? Those can cause shifter issues.
My 5 speed had shifting issues due to the transfer case drop when the PO did a 4 inch lift.
Problem solved after I installed my sye and cv driveshaft and taking out the tc drop. I don't think changing the shifter will help.
