Going to install a new Lares steering box in my 04 TJ. I am also going to replace both power steering lines at the same time. The Instructions that came with the steering box give directions on setting the poppet valves. Do I bleed the power steering system and when properly bled, then do the poppet setting? I am guessing this is the correct process but the directions are vague and I cannot find anything on YouTube or the such.

I just replace mine with the same unit at my boys shop.

We simply disconnected the old, installed the new. Whatever drained during that evolution was all that we drained. Had the Jeep up on a lift with the differential supported so the tires were off the lift.

Then we filled it, turned the Jeep on, and let it burp itself repeatedly til all the air was out of the system. That was chaotic, and frothy 🤣😂While running, we turned left and right full turns about 20x or until we had all air burped out

Ive personally never done one of these before and my buddys the shop manager and had one of his guys assist me

Hi, I'm in the process of buying a steering box for my 05. how is the Lares new steering box treating you? what size tires are you running with the lares box?
