Recently purchased an 02 apex tj 4.0 5spd with 150k on the clock. Other than a few minor issues, the biggest being 33s with no lift, it's in heat shape. Mechanically sound ice cold air. I'm only$5500 in on this ride. First jeep at 50yrs old. Mostly driven Ford trucks. Did i get taken or am i on so far in this deal? Second question is will 31x10.5's increase top end at all. I appreciate any input. So far I'm enjoying it.

$5500 seems reasonable provided the frame is good. Id say you'll like the 31's way better and the rpm difference will be noticeable, but in your favor power wise.

Thanks. Jeep guys always seem helpful. That's awesome. Wish I would have gotten a jeep years ago. Really enjoying it. There are a ton of jeeps where I live here on pine island

Pop the hood and take a pic of the engine for me. The decals give me 4 cylinder Jeep vibes. Hood stripes and fake brown leather seats are a positive for Apex editions.

You can see the apex decal in this Pic, I'll grab a shot of the engine soon. It's definitely a straight 6cyl. The seats are that dookie brown color but I like them. Getting used to the size down from a full size 4 door truck but it is a blast to drive. Seems like most jeep guys are very knowledgeable about them. It also has the sub in the console.

with the flat chested topography in that neck of the woods you may not even notice any issues caused by that setup

Welcome to Jeep ownership. $5500 is a good deal! Now you can spend the next $5500 on a lift, and that’s just the start.

They are fun to drive. Super fun!!!

Yeah, 33’s are way too big for no lift. 31’s max. You’re gearing will thank you too. I’m sure she’s sluggish with stock gearing and 33’s.
