New Water Pump for 97 2.5L

ISO a water pump for my 97 2.5L SE. Read about OEM part numbers here, but am not having any luck.

I hear that Gates offers a decent alternative. Anyone have any other suggestions? I've love to go with OEM if I can find it, and afford it.

I put a Gates pump on mine several years ago and it’s been problem-free. It has a lifetime warranty, so if it ever fails I can exchange it for a new one.

I put a good ol' Napa special in mine in 2021 and it is still kickin

I’m fairly sure NAPA has a lifetime warranty, and it’s nice having the store close by for exchanges. The Bosch starter I bought from NAPA back in 2004 or so failed about 15 years later and they warrantied it no questions asked.

Well, I can find OEM for $250 and up. Or Gates for more like $25. Hmm ...
