New Zealand Roadtrip to New Plymouth and Taranaki

Just got back from a short 2 day . 650 mile roadie.....spectacular scenery down this area..

This is a spot called the 3 sisters

Later that afternoon I went for a 4 hour hike to an elevation of 4200 feet. Just about killed me with high humidity and never ending steps..

The view from the top was with it though..
Looking back North towards New Plymouth on the coast.

West…

And the best bit, South towards the Mount Egmont.

The mountain is an extinct volcano last erupted over 300 years ago… think it’s around the 8200 feet tall

Stopped by the place I bought my Jeep 11 years ago this month… but they had just closed

Caught a nice full- ish moon

Next day back out to the three sisters.. had to catch it at low tide to get up close and personal with them

Breakfast… tasted better than it looks lol

Time to hit the road and head the long way home along a road called the forgotten highway….. hardly saw any cars

Thought you might … this dehydrated food looks a bit like the stuff you get in hospital but it actually tasted just like a breakfast with cheese eggs tomato and sausage lol

You’re welcome… we are a pretty small country you could probably see most things in a month or so.
