I knew they were in trouble, apparently they've closed a lot of Infiniti dealerships as well.

It's funny because the Altima I drove was the worst driving car I've ever had... And the infiniti was the best.

Only cos the MR2 isn't legal yet but still 🤪

Interesting addition. Co worker and his wife couldn’t have kids so they adopted before the baby was born. When the baby was born it was mixed but they had been waiting so long they wanted to keep the little girl anyway. The adoption agency said hell no. But after much legal action they got to keep her, after they went through cultural training which included white privilege classes and promised to raise her in her cultural background. It was quite traumatic for them.

Too bad they had to fight about it. Sounds like the adoption agency has issues.

The corruption and bureaucracy surrounding adoption in this country is complete bullshit, and I think it's financially motivated.

After the biological father stepped out, a friend of mine adopted his stepdaughter. Even with the mother, married to him at that time, being involved in the process, it still took close to two years and somewhere around $5K before everything was finalized. It really opened my eye to that industry.

More complete bullshit. The number pushers don't give a shit about the actual kid(s).

Max Armstrong, 40, was camping with his friends to Kiowa, Colorado, US, in December 2024, when he burned his thumb on a skillet while cooking pasta for their dinner

He didn’t think anything of it, but as the days went on his left leg started to swell up, his toenails began turning purple and he was in pain.

After six days, Max was driven to AdventHealth Parker, Parker, Colorado, and once he got into the emergency room, his eyes started rolling back in his head.

Doctors quickly confirmed that strep A bacteria had gotten into his burn and that quickly developed into sepsis – which can be life-threatening if not treated properly.
Max was placed into an induced coma for six days and during that time was transported to AdventHealth Porter, Denver, Colorado – as they had better facilities.

When he woke from the coma on December 13, Max says his feet were both completely black and doctors recommended amputation – telling him they would be impossible to save.

On December 23, 2024, Max had a three-hour operation to amputate both of his legs.

After more than a month recovering in hospital, he was able to go home to his wife, Megan Armstrong, 42, and learn how to live life in a wheelchair.

Max, a business owner, from Franktown, Colorado, said: “It was a hunting trip with friends that turned into a bit of a nightmare.

I love my 2021 Altima SL that I bought new It's got 90k now I haven't had any issues so far. I had rented a few on vacations so I decided to buy one.

I rented a Mercedes C300 which I hated, I guess that is a crappy model?

What drivetrain is that? The Infiniti had a DCT and the 3.7 V6, nothing like the horrible Altima I had

I call the C300 the soccer mom benz. The wife has a 2016 that she loves, me not so much too small. 9 quarts of oil in that little turbo 4 engine.

and of course, you have to drop an entire engine skid plate to do it.

That has become common, and some are a pain in the ass. I dropped the ATF in my mother's Accord a few months ago, but I had to take down a large plastic shield covering the entire engine bay before I could even get to the trans plug. That took longer to do than anything.

70 Christians Beheaded In Congo Church

"We don’t know what to do or how to pray; we’ve had enough of massacres."

Seventy Christians were found dead in a church in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) last week — reportedly beheaded at the hands of radical Islamic terrorists.

Christian group Open Doors, which supports persecuted Christians around the world, said that terrorists from the rebel Allied Democratic Forces (ADF), which has ties to the Islamic State, surrounded a village in Mayba in the territory of Lubero last Thursday, taking 20 men and women captive. The Islamic terrorists later returned and kidnapped 50 more Christians in the village and took them to a Protestant church in Kasanga, where they were brutally killed.

Yeah, the Benz is not nearly as bad as my daughter 2023 Rogue. That is a full skid with 36 push pins and 3 bolts to drop

But twice as much oil means you can go twice as long between changes, right? 30k miles between servicing, no?

Nope MB says 10K, We barely drive it 3K/year since she started working from home. We are probably getting rid of to just avoid the potential high dollar repair that will come.
