No bus error 2002 TJ

I'm a new member really hoping to love this TJ sometime this summer before the snow flies. I bought it knowing it had a skim module issue and sent my ECU to a company in Riverside,Cali to have the skim deleted, before I sent it the Jeep would only run about 3 seconds then off, now it has the "no bus error" with no gauges, but it still runs.. I recently purchased a used instrument cluster and I hooked that one up it is still coming up with the no bus error, I really want to drive this Jeep but I don't know about driving it with that error as I would have no temperature gauge, Speedo etc . Does anyone else know what I should be looking at, I really appreciate any input and yes the skim module is still unplugged on it.. Thanks in advance

Have you tried unplugging the battery overnight?check all the fuses?the ignition switch(not the key switch)(might have to be changed out for one that didn’t come with a skim module,the part is cheap.also you could try hooking up the skim?

@Magnus12 What was the original issue with your pcm and do you still have it? Do all of the gauges work?

I bought the Wrangler a month ago from a guy that tore the dash apart and the steering column and realized it was a bad skim module it would start and stay running for about 3 seconds so I could not tell at that point if the instrument cluster was working correctly then I sent the PCM to a company in Riverside California to have them delete the skim module ,( before that my son had disconnected the skim module) we hooked the PCM backup and the vehicle stayed running but then I noticed that the entire instrument cluster gauges were not working and the check engine light was on and then no bus error was on I ordered another instrument cluster which I believe is the same year and I hooked that one up last night and it is still doing it there are some loose wires around that my son has not figured out where they go..

I think connecting the skim would put it back to what it was doing before and shutting down after 3 seconds.

there are some loose wires around that my son has not figured out where they go..

My thought is one or more of these wires might be ones that carry the bus.

If you can take a pic of the loose wires, we can probably figure out what they go to.
