No heat: replaced thermostat housing, thermostat, coolant sensor, now "check gauges" and screeching

Yes, loss of heat is new. It slowly decreased to now blowing cold air only. The radiator hose to the thermostat housing is engine temp and the to/from hoses for heater core are cool, not warm.

Sounds like a thermostat issue where it's either the wrong temperature specification (should be spec'd for 195) or it's staying open too far all the time. Do you remember what brand/model you used?

If you have an OBDII reader, the temperature shown should be averaging around 210 once it's fully warmed up.

Did I miss the part where you checked the blend door function?

I did give it a looksie….it appears to open to cold air and just as cold air….I can feel the flow change so I’m thinking it’s opening from “hot” to “cold.” It’s on a cable…the hand adjuster in the dash cables the actuator….YouTube shows motored actuators

That sounds like a plugged heater core. Remove the heater hoses from the core and try to run water from a hose through the core. Try both ways as the reverse way will backflush it.
