No start 2004 TJ

My 2004 TJ has had a bit of a starting problem for about 6 months in that it seems if the clutch is not 100% buried, it will not start. Often when I step on the clutch (Which I feel is floored) and turn the key i will get about a half second of cranking and then it stops and I immediately press harder on the clutch wherein the cranking continues and she starts. Today I jumped in the Jeepster and ran to the gas station...same scenario, half second of cranking, press harder on clutch and she starts. In the gas station, buy some buns for sloppy joes and a 6 pack- Back in Elsie (the Jeepster) turn the key and...nothing.

I checked out the clutch switch at the pedal, jumped it and nothing. The master and slave cylinder look like they're new ( bought the Jeep last May)

I feel like the problem is in the clutch switch, master/slave assembly or the ignition switch.

Anybody got any ideas out there in Jeepland?

I have not had that issue (yet). Could it be a weak fuel pump? I just replaced my fuel pump with a Bosch pump and while I was not having any significant symptoms, I did notice it immediately started faster after sitting for a while. Others may have a better answer. The clutch may have nothing to do with it, coincidental to the cranking time.

So your having the same problem w/ your TJ and your Jeepster? I'm confused.
If it's w/ your TJ, there should be a fuse you can pull so it will start w/o the clutch being depressed. At least that's a starting point. There is a thread on that, don't know if it works on your year, worked on my '98.
As far as your Jeepster, I never had any issues like that w/ mine, sorry can't help there.
