Novak transfer case shifter install

I’m trying to install the Novak transfer cable linkage on my 1997 Tj. Does anybody have any tips on how to remove the factory bracket on the transmission.

Hmmmm. I didn't have any issues. Just needed to use some muscle. I did remove the skid and the driveline to make access to everything easier.

X2 to the above. Removing the skid plate and driveline makes it a lot easier. Beyond that, you just need some muscle.

When fitting mine the hardest part was removing the skid plate as some of the nuts were turning in the chassis. However, once removed the job was much easier.

And FYI, the trans skid IS what holds the trans in place. Support the trans, not just the skid plate.
