Off Road Equipment Storage Question

Yes, certain dog breeds are not allowed by insurance. When I got a divorce 20+ years ago, I had to find a place to rent with two boxers. Many would say, 'I'll have to check if those are on the list.' Boxers aren't on the list, never had land lord say they couldn't rent to me.

From memory, here's some of them:

Pitbull (worst for insurance claims)
German Sheppard
Rottweiler
Doberman
Chow
Akita
Husky
Cane Corso

There's a few others.

I know I said boxers aren't on the list. However, my current boxer is extremely jealous and will try to go after other dogs. So I don't bring him in the Jeep. Seems like people on the trails often let there dogs out without a leash. He would surely try to bite any dog that got close enough.

Back to the topic, I ordered the knock off storage box on Amazon for $223. That should solve my storage issues.

Let us know how it does!!!! Thats the one I have been looking at, need the engine skid first though.

Spare parts in the crate. Mobile MIG in the middle packout and hand tools in the top. Cooler behind the packouts. Recovery gear in a husky bag behind the passenger seat.

Here's mine. It's 2 pieces, one for when I want to keep the back seat in place and a second one for when the back seat is removed. The 2 pieces latch together underneath and are secured with turn buckles. Loose gear and tools go underneath, ice chest or other stuff on top. I installed some small D rings to secure stuff on top. For everyday use around town I use Car-go management blocks from VW, they stick right to the carpet. The 4th pic is the second piece before it was finished and carpeted, the holes fit exactly over the seat brackets and the front has a "wall" to keep stuff from coming forward into the passenger area which extends to the floor for support, and latches to the rear platform and is also secured downward with turn buckles. It also has a cutout for the sub woofer which is mounted under the back seat. The legs are 1.5" black pipe threaded into couplings which are welded to plates fastened to the wood with carriage bolts and Nylocks. I can unscrew the legs and hang the whole thing on the wall.

Ordered the knock off container on Amazon. Looks like they sent me the wrong part. Box says Hooke Road on it and the dimensions listed on the box are not the same as what I ordered. I'm still going to try to figure out what they actually sent, might open it to see if I can't figure it out.

Probably return it this weekend and try ordering again and cross my fingers that they will send the correct item.

I just received two wide mouth DeWalt bags with hard bottoms for my tools. I haven't loaded them up yet, but they both have a water resistant zip-able pouch on the outside. I'll put u-joints and other small replacement parts in those bags. The rest will be for tools. An ammo can will be inside one bag with some fluids and GlueTread. I have a hard case with SafetySeal for flats. One of the bags has a pouch specifically for an impact. I'll also put my tool roll inside one of the bags. It has most of what I need in it. I have a 20qt cooler. No back seat. Everything strapped down to the floor. Traveling light.

Curious about the dimensions. Personally I think my hooke road rack could be a bit bigger... certainly deeper.

-Mac

Box says 97 X 97 X 16

Supposed to be 35.4" L, 32.3" W, 16.9" H

Only part number I could find was 10025TJ

The part # ending with TJ makes me think it might actually be something for a TJ. I was going to try to find it online today, but looks like the Hooke Road site is blocked at my work. Tried a quick search last night, but didn't find anything with that part #.
