That's Clint Rivera's ride (See the thread "Ruby: The story of a Jersey Girl"). I saved the original ad from where he bought it. The vin numbers match.

Oh dang! Sad to see it being sold. Let me go read the build thread.

https://kansascity.craigslist.org/pts/d/independence-jeep-xj-dana-44/6814270427.html looking into this Dana 44. Does the XJ somewhat bolt in under a TJ? I'd re-gear it before putting it under too.
XJ uses leaf springs, whereas the TJ uses coil springs. Mounts are different, as is the gear ratio to most TJ axles. 3.55 gears were in the 1997 TJ, but none later, that I'm aware of. Could you make it work? If you're good with fabricating mounts, and want to deal with the gearing issues, sure, but it sure seems like a lot of work to me.

I've seen my fair share of angry bird TJ's, but never one (until now) that has the full grill and headlight enclosure. I've only seen that setup on the JK's. Plus the "Roid Rage" decals, the center dash mounted speakers, and asking $10k on a 200k mile vehicle? Seems rather steep if you ask me. Especially when they don't give even a partial list of mods.

I wonder what the experts think of this build. I believe the prevailing wisdom is not to buy another build, but I'd be interested in your breakdown from this ad.

A few positives, but besides that it is just another alright built Jeep. Rubicon express long arm, Chinese armor, giant front bumper, and tons of lights are the main negatives in my opinion. Good brakes, good steering, and the Atlas are the major upsides. I’m sure it will work great for the vast majority of off-roaders but it isn’t the most amazingly built Jeep in the world and the price is a little high in my opinion.
