We cruised all the time in high school. Small town, no traffic lights, one cop, nothing to do but drive around. If we were feeling rowdy we'd go to the next town over and cruise their streets while getting side-eyed

We cruised.. small town.. from movie theater to the sonic.. every Saturday there were preachers on the corner preaching to us how we were going to hell!… then we’d light up the tires and peel off!! I had a 65 mustang..most of the “cooler” kids had 80’ Camero’s or trans arms.. or foxbodys!!

Yeah, some things to regret loaning out: fast car, any motorcycle, chainsaw (if you like the person wanting to borrow it) and firearms.
We cruised most weekends in a '67 mustang with a case of expensive beer in the back until we got caught and the cops took our beer.
Later, a genius auto nut buddy (Tony Stills) built a chop top Vega station wagon that was just incredible. He had an extra washer fluid reservoir under the hood with a tube that exited under the dash. We'd fill the reservoir with Jack and have our drinks while we cruised.
