I suspect that I've got a oil pressure sending unit issue. On occasion, oil pressure (at the gauge) goes to zero and the 'check gauges' light comes on. I've pulled it, cleaned it, and looked at the connections. I have oil pressure. Confirmed via gauge at the pressure sending unit port, at least at the time. This problem has come and gone a few times. Once after sitting a while. Once while running the A/C after not using it for months. And once just randomly. So I'm not sure it's a legit problem with the mechanical pump.

Any suggestions on a good brand of sending unit? Don't want to get a parts store brand.

edit: I know Mopar is top of the list but not sure what's real Mopar and what isn't online anymore.

I put a Standard Motor Products in mine five years or so ago and have not had any issues with it. As far as parts store stuff goes, I have always had good luck with Standard

I've tried many. "Mopar" one from Amazon almost lasted two years. House brands didn't work from the get go. Currently running the cheapest Standard Motor Products sensor from Rock Auto. It was flawless the first month and has since given me a few zero beeps.

I have a Glowshift pressure and temp gauge so I know my pressure is good.

I thought that this was an uncommon issue as I've not heard many people talk about it before. But it seems this happens more often than I realized.

I replaced mine with a Mopar unit from a Chrysler/Jeep dealership selling on Ebay. Still sealed in the original bag. Made in Mexico. $45.

Took the TJ up to the BigHorns this weekend for some trailing with the family. Haven't received the new sender unit yet so it did pull the drop oil pressure to zero check gauges game a few times.

What's strange is that it would randomly, and frequently beep but no lights would come on the dash. Oil pressure still read normal. Would beep and beep until I slowed to about 15 mph then it would stop. Would stop for a while and randomly do it again.

I scanned and only had a few odd ball codes. Any ideas? Ran fine. No issues.

I put this on one of my 97's about 2 months ago, zero issues. I put a Standard Motor Products on my other 97 about 5 years ago....it didn't change my Check Gauges/low pressure situation. I changed the pump out, and my oil pressure has not been a problem since. Which is to say that you should always check it with a mechanical gauge first, because it could be the sender, or it could be the oil pressure itself, and the sender you replace it with could be bad too.

This is the turn signal on for more than a mile, at more than 15mph beeper.
Cancelling the indicator, or slowing below 15mph stops the warning.

It can be caused by weak switches, corrosion at the switch and connector, and if it only does it with lights on it could be a bad ground, or lamp socket

I don't think @ejay is that old yet.

Do you prefer an early turn signal or the people who brake to slow down for a turn and then at the last minute flip their turn signal on and make the turn?

It's like a big secret. Are they going to turn left, right, or stop in the middle of the road so you enjoy your nice leisurely drive a little longer than needed.

Thanks all. Hadn't thought of the turn signal. Wasn't on, but I honestly didn't think my Jeep had that feature. I'll clean the connections.

I like to pass those idiots, cut in front of them, then slam on my BM brakes just to make sure I'm using them properly. ;) They can then see my lovely decal.
