You can get the best of both worlds with LED replacement inserts for the classic KC lights.
PO had some original KC daylighters installed that fit the jeep perfectly — but I did not like the dim halogen lamps. It was very easy to drop in these inserts and now I have bright LED's with a nice warm-white color temp that only draw about 1.6amps each. Not as cheap as just changing the bulbs, but since I already had the KC "shells", it was worth it.
