On-Board Air Conversion of Stock Jeep Wrangler TJ A/C System

Well ok then learn something every day dont we. Thankyou for your experience and pics. Is there any way you could post a parts list ?

I used a Sanden from an XJ. Using a few bucks of scrap steel relocated the entire alternator mount down and out, and the compressor bolts to the top of the whole thing. Easy in theory, but lots of little things. Had to clock the tensioner, take apart the compressor to plug the hole, find the right belt about $200-$250 of small fittings and stuff. Switch on the dash tell the compressor to cycle, the viair pressure switch lets it work when needed. Never bothered with an oiler and it is going strong 7 or 8 years later. Mostly used for filling tires and lockers about once a month. I actually replumbed it this morning with DOT truck brake lines and push to connect fittings. Still have factory AC
