Only brake lights not working

Is that the brake light Switch with with about 8 wires in it mounted just above the brake pedal?

I had the same problem. I got some electronic cleaner spray, pulled the plugs apart on the passenger side rear tail light, sprayed them down with the CRC QD electronic cleaner, put it back together. Now I've got tail lights once again

My story is slightly different and unsolved so far. My third light stopped working and noticed it while on the way to get my yearly vehicle inspection. I did what I have done the last two years: I used some aluminum foil to get better contact between the swinging gate contacts! But this time, no help. Brake lights worked fine except third light. I go to get my volt meter and driver to check bulb. Now no brake lights at all!

Replaced the fuse I blew, put everything back together with dielectric greased connections cycled the hazards, put the nubs of foil in, and all work. JFC.
