This appeared on my local Nextdoor yesterday I've heard of it happening with landscapers and once with a house painter but this is the first water heater.

What ever Happened to just going over and talking to them.

But then again last time I did that I was reported to the law for being a potential drug dealer.

She tried that but they are either dead or out of town, no answer.

I figure the plumbers probably rolled up in their van and Google said "You have arrived" just as they saw the open garage door and figured it was left open for them and didn't bother to look at the house number.

Seems if the garage is open, you could at least get your water heater. Then the other people will make sure to contact the company.
