It documents a very early iteration of the rear shock outboard as evidenced by the Ford shock mounts that were quickly replaced with Poly Performance coilover towers. This modification has since been greatly refined and improved since the early-2000s when Blaine first developed the process.
Do more research. And understand the importance of outboarding as a way of installing tunable shocks.
Anyone that has driven their TJ down a rocky trail should agree that the lower shock mounts on the rear axle do in fact stink...

Keep digging. A lot of little things have changed and improved since Stu wrote that 20 years ago. Using Ford towers disappeared very early on in Blaine's process.
