More ground clearance than a standard factory Dana 60 too. Although I am not sure how much shave is required for that, it may also require a shaved ring gear.
Not to mention a Dana 60 can be shaved as well. So it really comes down to an in depth comparison.

Bigger shafts, some of the new gens are 1541 chromoly from the factory. Bigger ring gear, pinion support, and incredibly cheap; csn be found around here for $100-$200. Tons of support and proven as a great one ton swap rear axle.
They do lack ground clearance from the factory and are very heavy.
