hi, 2001 TJ, 4.0, man, 200K + miles.
been chasing the misfire gremlin for a couple of months now.
runs fine for about 20 min, then will misfire under load. eventually will throw the p0303 code with flashing CEL.
things i've replaced:
coil pack, plugs(autolite)
cam position sensor
throttle position sensor, cleaned tp.
heat wrap, new injectors
new rocker arms, push rods(already planned on this but didn't help issue)
checked fuel pressure - OK
compression test - not perfect but nothing in the red.
new cats, both banks
things considering replacing:
crank position sensor
PCM
fuel pump
it has cooled off quite a bit. can still produce the misfire under load but not enough to trigger the code.
