P1294 code (idle speed not reached)

Hello all,
Got the CEL today in my way home from town.
My code reader gives me P1294 but when I look it up it says idle speed not reached and has no other information.

Have any of you seen this before?
I’m thinking maybe idle air controller, but don’t want to go throwing money at ideas.

Likely the iac , I'd clean it.

Also check for possible vacuum leaks.

I know someone here make a homemade smoke tester. Maybe they will chime in.

I guess I’m blind.
Either that or I knocked it off when I was poking around.
Cleaned the IAC back in July so hopefully it was just that the PVC hose. It doesn’t seem like it takes much to pop the hose off so I’m going to get a longer section of it tomorrow.

Put hair spray on it.. then zip tie it .

Hair spray ?? You mean on the intake fitting? Does it make the hose fitting connection sticky?

Yes guys do it on cold air intakes on diesels all the time... Just move kind of quick spray hairspray on the fitting and slap the hose on.

Hairspray is basically thin lacquer.

It acts as a ultra thin adhesive that has no ability to contaminate anything or create problems.

The hose can still be removed but it won't come off accidentally.

And mam , if you have a feminine pad , they work great to stop sweat in a dirt bike helmet . I'd prefer a clean one .
