Painting a hardtop

I did not put anything on top of it. I'll put some paste wax on it after it cures.

Definitely good to approach it some way - I'm no expert to compare waxing the SEM vs adding additional top coats.

I'm curious to anyone painting theirs as I need to do that - needed do it years ago but it'll be on my list for next year or the following...

I just bought this one. It was from a wrecked Jeep that had been sitting behind and abandoned house. It was completely gray. I scrubbed it with a brush and used a magic eraser and it looked black again. Unless your paint is chipped really bad you could try that.
