Painting plastic with lacquer paint?

I have bought some Mopar spray paint in the colour I want to paint my LJ. The paint is lacquer. I do have some epoxy primer I was thinking of spraying the plastic parts with first. Has anyone had success painting accent dash parts with Lacquer paint ?

Wipe some lacquer thinner on a spot you can't see, and see what happens. You should be OK, but lacquer thinner (it's in the paint) is quite strong, and from what I recall, it can soften some types of plastic.

If your painting plastic, look Into some adhesion promoter. The bumper guy that’s comes to our work to spot in jobs, uses it for plastic.
