Has anyone tried any performance chips in their wranglers, I have a 4.0 5 speed manual and am wondering if its as ez as that, install the chip and that's it. Do they really give you anymore HP and better gas mileage or are they a waste of money and is there more tune up procedures you need to do with installing a chip? I'll also ask is there a better way to get more HP out of this motor?

No such thing as a performance "chip" for our TJs. If someone is claiming to have such a thing, it is either a scam or pure snake oil. You'd be best served to avoid giving them your money.

I tuned my own with Syked tuning software. A good tune will make a TJ 4.0 much better everywhere. Syked is not as easy as HPTuners from what I have seen.
