I was told that with the rims I want, running 30s would be better than 31s. I was planning on 31s but the rims I want may not work well with the 31s.I don't have a pic but is this your target build or just an intermediate step and you are just curious to see how it looks until you can put some 31s on?
What rims are you going to run? I can’t think of any reasonable 15” Jeep wheel situation where 31s would be a bad idea.I was told that with the rims I want, running 30s would be better than 31s. I was planning on 31s but the rims I want may not work well with the 31s.
Whoa, spotless for an '06. Is that repainted?1-3/4” with 30-9.50-15’s before I switched to 31’s with new wheels.

Are you considering wider fenders? Mine is also patriot blue, but gray hardtop. I was shopping these wheels, so appreciate your info. Here's my TJ with a 2" lift that netted just over 2.5" of lift and my 31's (31/10.5 r15) which actually measure 30.4" per the manufacturer's specs. Wheels are 15x8 with 3.75" backspacing. No rubbing anywhere. View attachment 221886
I'd like flares that are 1 - 1.25" wider (like the Rubicon or Sahara flares), but nobody makes an OEM style aftermarket flare in that size (only the OEM width like I have or 7", which is way too wide) and OEM Ruby/Sahara takeoff flares are tough to find and expensive. Are you considering wider fenders? What rims? That just sounds oddI was told that with the rims I want, running 30s would be better than 31s. I was planning on 31s but the rims I want may not work well with the 31s.
Fortunately, it's really only an issue on the rare occasion we deal with mud, which isn't too often here in the desert southwest.
