Pigtail under driver's side dash '06

Found THIS while I was installing my voltage inverter under the driver's side dash:

For factory cruise control, I assume?

That looks aftermarket. It has a built in fuse. Perhaps a dinghy towing setup?

Agree on the aftermarket, no idea on what it is for

Well ain't that just special. Guess I'll have to trace it out. Doesn't look like its ever been used.

Yeah, follow it to the other end. The end in the pic looks like it might go to your radio and/or some type of iPod interface add-on for the stock radio.

Found it, simple enough. Its spliced into the wiring on the backside of the OBD II port. Must be for some kind of semi-permanent monitor or tuner.
