Piss & Moan Table

I work in the marine industry up here on the west coast and there is a huge variety of individuals in both the deck and engineering dept's who come from all over the world, and language barriers/accents is a daily struggle. Our latest influx has been mostly from ukraine, but we've got phillipinos, indians, iranians, russians, syrians, chinese, and even people from parts of africa. All of them are fantastic people, but the biggest defining factor between them and the troublemakers that hail from those same parts of the world is EDUCATION. The uneducated demographic of individuals being imported under refugee status or otherwise have no desire to change their situation. They get signifiantly more support here in north america than they ever did back home, and they stay in this passive survival mode of taking advantage of the handouts instead of putting in the effort to thrive and grow.

The other thing education brings is an unspoken respect for the traditions and religious beliefs of the country they immigrated to, something the uneducated masses flooding both Canada and the US can't seem to understand.

DMFs walking up my driveway for this dumb shit pisses me off.

People can be complete idiots - sometimes it works in your favor. Saw a guy selling a SMLE magazine for $35 on a firearms forum years back. It had 10 rounds loaded into it, so he didn't want to ship it. It was listed week after week. I finally messaged the guy and told him how he could legally ship it, and offered him $50 if he would do so. He came back promptly and thanked me for the info, and said he'd follow my advice and sell it to me for $30 (shipped). Ok - I'm not arguing! It showed up in due time.

Wow, Zorba. To you, even a nice feller who cut you a deal isn't immune from being called an idiot? Besides yourself, is there anyone who isn't an idiot in Zorbaland? :ROFLMAO:

Been ducked three times. All three had a tag attached advertising the same realtor. You would think after three times she would remember she already got me. Two different towns. She was really advertising her stuff 😂

I love my little town... We had one person with a JKU Rubicon who started "Ducking" Jeeps. I'm friends with her husband, and I saw her, out of the corner of my eye, walking away from my Jeep as I came out of the post office.. At first I thought she was just looking at it, but by the time I walked around and saw the purple duck sitting on my mirror she had just pulled out of the parking lot.

I caught up with her that afternoon and told her about a rumor I had heard about different colored ducks and what each color meant, and that purple ducks were used by a very specific demographic of people. Purple ducks meant that the "ducker" and their spouse were swingers and they were inviting the "duckie" to join them for an evening of fun and adventure.... 🤣🤣🤣

The look on her face  was pure entertainment. She was mortified and started apologizing instantly... I laughed and she said she was never "ducking" anyone, EVER again!!!

I haven't been ducked since and I can't say that I recall seeing any other local Jeeps sporting ducks outside of the dash board since then either...
