Third time this week, if it happens a fourth, he's consider saying something to the little bastards...
I tend to stick with the little 8 ouncers when available, easier to limit to just a bottle and I know exactly what the damage is.

Well, he made it to 87 so he already won, even with that regimen. Reminds me of my grandmother & great uncle on my dad's side, lived to 90 & early 80's respectively chain smoking like nobody's business, and in my grandmother's case, guzzling martinis like it was her job. Some are able to ignore all the evidence & beat the odds, though the quality of many of those years certainly suffers given their behaviors... I am for sure not trying to live forever or even necessarily extend my time on the planet doing what I'm doing, I am however trying to increase the quality of my life for however many days the big guy lets me stay.
My old man will be 90 in a few months, he's looking frail as hell, doesn't eat much anymore, but loves the junk, & despite my misgivings about those choices I fully support him, just want him to be happy & enjoy whatever time he has left - dropped by on Saturday with a mega bag of Reece's minis, a box of his favorite muffins, & a giant can of his favorite coffee which he perks in a Corning Ware percolator that's older than me. The smile on his face was priceless.

I'm at the Marriott harbor lake resort for a week in Orlando with my son, daughter in law, the grandkids and the wife. They come down a couple of times a year and I get a condo for us. Then the wife and I go up to Maine a few times.
The condo is great but the F'ing people in the Orlando area not so much. When I have to venture out to Walmart etc. the people are assholes. I really think they try to be as rude and obnoxious as possible. I think that is common in most large cities.
I'm sitting on the balcony watching girls in bikinis playing volleyball so it's not to bad.

A 10 minute storm rolled through town, no big deal. It was just enough to take out a tree at a house were trying to renovate. Got the car port obviously, electrical service and AC. Haven't been on the roof yet, but not expecting great news 
I'm in Florida and the lady we saw walking down the street had on a thong. Not really, she was just so fat her suit gave up trying to cover her ass.

So not pictured is the other 1/2 of this tree which is obviously leaning toward the house next to ours. We asked the insurance company about removing it before it falls a causes damage to the neighbors house, nope sorry can’t help you. They admit it looks bad but until it falls can do nothing, oh and by the way if it has any rot in it that’s on you. Anyone else see where this is going…
The houses are VERY close, I admit the remaining part of the tree will be expensive to remove. But wouldn’t it make sense to remove it now, financially and for safety? I loath insurance companies but they have us by the balls.
You know its a hazard so if anything happens it’s on you. Bite the bullet and remove it before the open wound begins to rot.
I understand all of that. The question is, why would the insurance company not be proactive, is this not what we pay for? And before I am asked, yes fallen trees and their removal are covered under my policy, but only the 1/2 that has already fallen will be covered. The tree is literally split in half, I just can't see the logic.
