I've been eyeballing the heat pump/heat exchanger setups for a hot tub.cheaper than a heating element to run.
Kinda want to make my own if i can. I have several left over from hvac jobs. Hard part is tricking the control system to be happy with a heat exchanger rather than a coil and how to integrate the temp sensors in a way the corrosive water doesn't touch them

My pool is 90 degrees all from environmental heating. That’s down 2 degrees since last week.
well this heater can go up to 104 degrees.
That is why this also chills, I have had my pool environmentally heated to 92 and it is like soup.
Went to shower in the basement after my workout, valve was sticky, I’m handy. Yep shower valve broke, won’t turn off, had to shut the water to the house and waiting on my 2hr Home Depot delivery of the new shower valve. And when I went to pull the old cartridge, it snapped it was so old.
Just got back from 2 weeks of driving around Poland. Just under $9/gal for gas. Back home and gas is just under $6/gal. Never thought I’d be OK with that price.
On a side note Polish drivers are assume. They don’t camp in the fast lane, use their turn signals and let you merge when you need to change lanes. Parking is a Bitch though. Back in Ca and no one does any of that. More stressful driving here than in a foreign country for the first time.

Its amazing how wonderful drivers are "over there". Their rules may be very different from ours, but they're courteous and competent. And yea, parking is a bitch and you're far more likely to get into trouble over parking issues than driving itself.

Dang, both HD and Lowes are a 5 minute drive for me, and Ace Hardware is even closer.
I usually walk to Ace, and I *can* walk to HD. Blowes is 20 minutes. It good that I prefer HD over Lowes anyway.

Over here HD is basically a self service store as you can’t ever find an employee to assist with locating items that their web site shows are in stock at a particular location, but aren’t actually there.
HD is pretty good here - bLowes has some PITA problems at the corporate level that I've encountered a time or two. OTOH, bLowes doesn't require a PHOOOOOONNE to rent a truck!

If the Gods are smiling, and I take the freeway, I can get to my Thursday nite dance class in about 45-50 minutes. If I go the non-freeway route, its about an hour. If I go my usual way over the back roads, its an hour 15. So I usually leave an hour and a half and stop off at a Wendy's on the way there.
Until last Thursday. I needed to make a couple of stops on the way there, so I left two hours early. The stop at Home Depot, which should have been 5 mins tops (pickup online order), ended up chewing through 30 minutes because the item was badly damaged and they can't order it again. Then I went up a block and a half to the dry cleaners to pick up a skirt. That was another Charlie Foxtrot as it was "creep and beep", probably took 10 minutes to get there. Slipped out the back way and drove to class the non-freeway, non-back road route, skipped Wendy's altogether and decided to stop at McD's instead to save time. I expected to get to dance class 30 minutes early - instead I got there 15 minutes late - all told it took me two hours to get there. Traffic has just become HORRID - everyone's moving here from blue states, and clogging up the roads. I managed to hit every chickenshit red light, when I finally got to McD's, there was a line at the drive thru that wrapped around the building and I was greeted by an F-150 trying to back out onto the street I was turning in from. I ended up backtracking to a nearby BK. Sigh!

More confusion: A dance sister got us (interested Belly Dancers) a performance opportunity at a local Witch's Ball event that none of us have been to before. Their theme this year is Nordic God/dess (s/es). That's fine, so what to wear? Said dance sister sends a pix of what she and her troupe are wearing. Ok, I can come close enough for that, but let's ask "Samarah", one of my teachers who is also dancing and is Asatruar (Norse Pagan). Bad idea. Now I'm getting conflicting advice; black is OK, no you want earth tones, wear a tiara, no a tiara is too shiny, wear the garland from the Druid dance we did a couple of years ago instead. Blah, blah, blah. AAARRRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!
We finally settled on a brown skirt, a vest that goes with it, and some kind of borrowed belt/sash thing that I haven't seen yet. I think. Now, what about the fucking tiara? Well, maybe the afore mentioned garland over a large bindi or goth headpiece would be the ticket. Earrings? Crap - I dunno. So I'm lugging all this crap to class next week - ASSUMING I CAN FUCKING GET THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE - and we'll hopefully sort it out. Nordic stuff isn't my thing, so figure it out (for me)! I'm supposed to be some kind of Nordic Fae - sounds cool enough, but would someone please tell me what a damn Nordic Fae wears?
Oh, I neglected to mention that part of our performance is with veils over our heads (I now have 5 weeks to learn a troupe choreography for a troupe I'm not in), and we're wearing garlands/tiaras/headpieces/whatever-the-fucks and draping the veils over that. AND, get this - "Samarah" is wearing this incredible Norse costume that involves antlers. ANTLERS! With a veil. How the Sam Hell Tarnation is THAT going to work? Thank Goddess its not my problem - she's the one with the antlers, not me. I'm going to have enough problems with a veil over whatever the Hell I end up wearing on my head.
