Please help me pick a grease

Hey everyone!

I want to buy a grease in order to grease my 7 zerk fittings.

If I'm not mistaken it is recommended to use a NLGI #2, GC-LB grease.

Is the GC-LB part important? Because I can't find any in my local markets. I can find NLGI #2, but GC-LB is not mentioned.

Is this a good choice? or not?

* Is there any particular grease I should stay away from? i.e. lithium grease is fine?

For the 7 factory grease fittings I use the Chrysler compatible grease. Valvoline makes tubes of it labeled Chrysler and every auto parts store I've ever been in carries it. It's the right stuff and saves trying to figure out what's compatible with what is in there already.

Read this below;

Either of the two greases you point in posts 1 and 2 works fine on your TJ. Been in Europe is hard to find many lubricants specifications we use in the USA. The products are similar but MSDA and order regulation of use does not allow some stuff to be printed on the container.
We have this issue with our machinery, Maintenance guys know exactly what to use but the company goes by the book making things a little harder.

I do use Lucas Red and Tacky on my LJ and TJ and JK.

3-4) Both Tie Rod Ends
5) Connection between Tie Rod and Drag Link
6) Joint between Pitman Arm and Drag Link
7) Driver's Side Track bar Mount

Did you really overcomplicate everything?

Read the Typical application of each one, Do you think your TJ greaseable parts make more work than any of them?

any name brand "Marine" grade grease is what I'm using just in case I get some water intrusion during water crossing/mud events.

I use Lucas Red and Tacky and a high end OEM Kubota tractor grease.

I use Mobile 1 synthetic in everything from my Jeep to the motorhome and tractor. Its NLGI 2 approved for chassis and wheel bearing use.
