The bottom of the radiator is being bumped and damaged by the body mount bracket under the grille. Is this because of the missing body mount or would that not fix it? I was also thinking maybe the radiator isn't mounted straight and is too close to the bracket and perhaps needs some washers or a spacer on the bottom bolts to push it out and away from it

appears to me the tub may have slid back man- you need to be all over this- also does it have a body lift.

Not picking but that is pretty far out of the norm.

Yeah, it has a 2 inch body lift. The camera angle is probably making it look weird too because in person the radiator looks pretty straight and the holes line up for the front body mount. I thought it was weird that the bracket was so close to the radiator though. I'm trying to figure out what I can put on the end of the bracket temporarily to cushion it. I was going to do a rubber strip that I used on my doors but it was too thick and was touching the radiator

Except not in that position.

Get a body mount.

I'm going to, I was just wondering if having a mount bolted there would keep it from bumping the radiator and solve this problem or if there's something else that could be causing it

I think the missing body mount is your problem.

Is the bolt broken off in the hole in the bottom of the grill? It kind of looks like it is to me.

A piece of old rubber hose split down the side should be able to fit over the frame mount and give you a little cushion until you get the mount replaced.

I don't think there's any bolt broken off up there. At least I hope not! I thought for sure it was just supposed to have that indention up there that the new bolt will push up into. If it's supposed to be open I'll have to figure out how to get that out. Maybe drill it.

Good idea with the hose. I've had a hard time finding the right body mount since it's for position 1 and all the ones I keep finding say 2,3,4 and I'll also need a 2" spacer and longer bolt because of the body lift. Plus it seems like they're always sold in sets. I'm sure my tj could use replacing all of them but just for now I really want to find a single mount and spacer to take care of this problem and not destroy my radiator 😬

I got it fixed! At least temporarily so the radiator won't get damaged before I replace the body mounts. I used a spacer to pull the radiator back since it was leaning down towards the bracket and put a bolt on the other bottom side because of course it was missing one. Then put a rubber strip with silicone grease over the bracket so even if it does hit, which I doubt, it'll be a soft impact. It's not as close as the angle makes it look.
