Post your black Jeep

Allow me to be the 1st to post a 2004, one year only "Columbia Edition" TJ in black with 5 speed. LOVE the contrasting dark graphite fender flairs and wheels, contrasting silver gauge and center bezels. It's almost 100% stock, save for 31" tires a 3/4" coil spring spacer lift, a Hurst shifter ball to replace that MORONIC stock shifter knob that would NEVER stay straight, and a vintage "ball" compass. I also have a 2nd set of (half) doors, fresh from paint with door locks keyed to match the full doors:

I had to give her a bath after finding out my youngest daughter drove her to the mall. She said she at least parked next to to two other Jeeps while she was there. She turns 25 on Sunday and is the sole reason my hair is as gray as it is.

I have been on a balloon chase team bor about 21 years, and i've always said a Jeep would be a perfect chase vehicle. Roof off of course though.

Who did you chase for? My wife wife is from Norristown used to fly around there. She knew most of the balloonists in that area.

Actually, using the Jeep I found the limited seating to be the biggest downside. My balloon carried 5 ~ 6 people, add in other crew and the Jeep is just too small. I usually used the GMC version of a Suburban - with the third row it would seat 8, plus you could always jam a few more way in back.

I crew for Alex. His balloon names are Sunkissed, CraZee, and Zeenith( a racer). He was from Ohio, but now lives in Illinois. We are in Northwestern PA and most of the pilots that fly in our festival come from Ohio. Alex uses a full size Suburban also.
