Did anyone lose power because of the storm?

Maine has been hit hard with power outages. Central Maine Power outage website says only 82 customers have power in my town.

I have a whole house generator but most don't hopefully power will be restored soon.

Oh on a side note its 27 degrees at my house in Florida.

It’s 9° in southern middle Tennessee and our county has 56% power out since 6:14am. It just now came back on. So almost three hours. The utility company is saying the entire county where Huntsville Alabama is out. Don’t know for sure cause I’m visiting in Atlanta with the daughter.
And we’re served by TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority) hydroelectric. We’ve got a couple of nuclear plants too. Sounds like they need to send some of that infrastructure bill money our way to upgrade our grid.

We’ve been single or double digits above and below most the last week, but there’s a Chinook coming and it will be warming up to near 40° by Monday. Wouldn’t be surprised if we lose power if we get the freezing rain forecast and trees start coming down. Genset is ready to go and we've got water for a couple days put aside for worst case.

We never lost it for more then 2-4 minutes. Silver lining of being on the main trunk 3ish miles from the local substation.

My mom lost power during the last storm we got close to 2-2.5 feet of snow in the western mountains. Was able to get her generator started and pellet stove/fridge going. Need to get furnace guy in during the summer to see about wiring a plug for her propane furnace so it can run off the generator.

No power loss for us this most recent storm but the flooding is insane. If you know anyone headed to the mountains to snowmobile tell them to avoid Rt 2.

My sister lives in Southern KY and has been without power off and on for the last 2 days. One stretch was over 8 hours and her pipes froze and broke.... She's trying to figure out how to water 16 horses today.

I've got no water in two of my homes, they share the same artesian well. I thought when the power came on it would be ok.

Well I've got to call a plumber Monday morning to see what is wrong. There isn't any leaks, I know if I throw enough money at it the water will be fixed.

The ice is thawed so the water is working but the pressure switch needed to be replaced. The first one from Lowes had one screw the last screw put on cross threaded.

Tried everything to get that screw out to put the wire in. So back to Lowes I go, this time make sure all the screws move. The water is up to pressure. Now I go to the other house to remove the aerators because the water is dirty.

I lean back against the counter to talk to my grandson and I feel hot. I look my nylon jacket is on fire and my shirt. I yell I'm on fire.

I yank my jacket off I'm stomping on it to put the fire out. My daughter in-law had candles burning. I told her I'm trying to get your water fixed and you are trying to kill me?

What a day.
