PRP Daily Driver Seats

@connor grimes How are you liking your new seats?

I like this look too:

Couldn't wait, wife and I both like the all grey (thinking it wont show dust as bad as black) so I went ahead and ordered the pair today along with the mounting brackets. Email confirmation says 4 weeks out, delayed shipping was another reason I went ahead and ordered without samples. I usually try and go camping around my birthday at the end of may and it would be killer to have new seats by then.

I’ve been eyeing the PRP seats for awhile now and would buy a pair if I was able to use the tumble forward feature to get into the back seat.
Does anyone still use the tumble feature on their PRP seats?
My passenger-side tumble still works with my PRP, I never had one on the driver's side. The PRC sits on top of the factory base so if the factory base tumbles it will continue to do so after installing the PRC seats. You do need adapter brackets which PRC sells separately.

My samples just came so i'll be ordering this weekend! Here they are side by side if you want to get an idea.

Tuxedo Gray Tweed,
Graphite Gray Tweed
Black Tweed
Stock TJ carpet in the picture for reference.

Awesome, thanks for the pics. I went with dark grey daytona and the graphite tweed. I think I'll be pretty happy with that. The vinyl probably isn't as dark as factory but it's close enough for me.

Here is Daytona Dark Gray Vinyl on the factory carpet in natural light. It is a little lighter but a darn good match!

Sounds good thanks. Now all I need to do is decide on fabric and color. 👍🏻

I'm about to order 2 new front seats too. I see the free shipping advertisement, but where did you see 10% off? Is there a code for that? Thanks.

I luck out with shipping, they are supposed to be here tomorrow. Looks like I might be able to get them installed for a run to the mountains I had planned for Sunday.

They only have a couple hundred miles to go in my case though.

I've got the first trail run on my new seats and so far they are great. They are a bit firmer than I expected but they aren't uncomfortable even after a few hours on the trail. They hug your hips and shoulders pretty well and give you a nice planted feel. There weren't many off camber situations on the local trail I took them on but I can tell they will hold you in a lot better than the factory seats.

Install was super easy on my '01 seat bases, took 4 bolts out, mounted the brackets, and bolted the seats to the bracket. I abandoned the fold and tumble cables and will just reach under the seat to let rear passengers out, I always had to let them out anyways as my wife didn't like messing with it. (no matter how much I lube the base it's still sticky)

Hey

I'm seriously looking at getting a set of the PRP seats, did anyone get a set that was +4 inches tall? I'm 6'5" and I would like to have the tall seats but am concerned that they might not fit my TJ!

Thanks
Grant

Can we get a comparable picture now to see how they've aged?
Nothing different other than they're dirty and the piping at the bottom outside edge of the seat is pretty much shot which is why PRC no longer recommends piping. The fabric and vinyl is still fine.

Wonderful description i can almost picture what it would look like in my head. 🤨
