Out of curiosity, does a steering box like the one in the PSC kit fit the same as the OEM one? I'm wondering if a steering box skid, such as the Savvy one (which doesn't enclose it and trap mud) would still fit when going to hydro-assist.
I just wrapped up the install of the PSC with hydro assist and even got the hydro assist to work with the Rusty's radiator skid as well as a steering box skid. It wouldn't have fit the radiator skid without a body lift.
In general, it is easier to set up if you have a small body lift.
I just installed the PSC box and am also looking for a skid that fits and provides max protection (that thing wasn't cheap). In the above picture it looks like the sector shaft is hanging out there without any protection. It looks like a rock could slide right past the skid and nail the sector shaft. It would be nice if the savvy skid were a bit wider to cover that area. Is that a concern or is it tucked far enough back that its not a problem?

I also have a Rusty's radiator skid which also helps protect the connectors for the hydro assist lines. It doesn't cover the box at all, but it does protect the lines where they connect to the box. It would not work with the hydro assist lines without a body lift. https://www.rustysoffroad.com/rustys-skids-radiator-skid-tj.html
