I have a 1998 Jeep and the hardtop for it. ( the one with the vents in the sides) I’ve noticed that I think a lot of the wind noise in the hardtop comes from the vents. So I was thinking about stuffing a little bit of poly fill into the tunnels that lead to the inside. Air would still be able to escape through it but it might cut out some wind noise. Wanted to know if anyone had and concerns or thoughts about this?

This probably sounds like a bad idea. If you block those vents, you could blow a window when you close the door. Are you sure your wind noise is from the rear vents? How are the seals where the top mates to the body?
I’m unsure of the quality of that seal but my thought was polyfill would allow air to pass through but work as a sound deduction. I’m not sure however.
I ran my 05 for 4 years with a tailgate that didn’t have the vents and had no issues.
I guess I'm just a nervous Nancy then. Still, I think his wind noise is coming from bad seals, not the vents.
