Question on hardtop seals

I removed my hardtop last week and when I did the foam seal stuck to the tub, of course destroying it. 1St question, do most people use a seal? 2nd question please. Does any company use a rubber seal instead of the foam junk. Thanks!

Mine has a rubber seal, so they exist. I never looked for a replacement, though.

Google rubber camper shell seal.

The factory gasket was 1x1/16” closed cell foam. No reason you couldn’t get that size in rubber instead.

Loose, but it tends to stick to the body and top after being on for a while. I waxed the tub area where it sits so it doesn't stick to the body and comes off easier.

Wax the tub and sprinkle baby powder on it before putting top on.
