@Dave K. is working and I'm trying to install my speakers in the front. The metal adapter screws to the metal plate on the jeep, but the speakers get attached to the adapter plate but how do I keep the screws in? Am I supposed to be using these little things? Help!

Next question I bought these adapters to make it plug and play but not seeing how they attach here?

I bought some screws, washers, and nuts to attach mine. I find it easier, and cheaper, to just cut and splice the wires. No reason not to unless you plan on going back to stock speakers. When I installed my amplifier, I swapped out all the speaker wiring since the factory stuff is so thin.

Yes, you need those little bracket things. But one side on the top and your screw through it and the speaker mount and then out the back through the backside of that little bracket.

For the adapters, just slide them on to the mail connection. Wow on one side, one on the other. Then test the speaker. If it doesn't sound right switch those two connections

If the provided screws thread into the v shaped black clip, you probably need to place the v clip with the smaller hole on the bottom of the adapter plate and the other side on top of the speaker. Then run the screw in to hold the speaker to the adapter plate.

The other question, black goes on the small spade, white goes to the bigger spade.

Thank you! Im waiting for Dave. When I tried putting them on, it seemed like it didn't want to go. And with the kind of day I've been having, my luck would be I break it. But at least I know I'm on the right track!

That’s bc the wire adapter u bought is just crimped tight. Take a small flat head and pry it open just a bit. It will slide right on and if it seems lose then take needle nose players and squeeze just a tad.

Doesn't help your install, but where'd you get the speakers...?
I ordered them online through amazon . From one of the members threads link . I’m struggling getting them in so not sure if it’s the bracket or the speaker

I can’t get the speaker to fit in the hole?? Did anyone need to cut the inside bracket to get the speaker to fit? Struggling here hoping for some guidance. Thanks!

Seems like me that the bracket is stoping it. Maybe with the baffle it’s to tight. With the new brack you would still have the strength if it cut that inner curved piece out.
Swapping holes in the bracket. Doesn’t look like it will matter but don’t hurt to try.

@Kathy, what size speaker are you installing? I’m running a 4” Component that fits in there easy. Looks to me if you cut that bracket they still might not fit. Ps, I installed those baffles yesterday and I didn’t notice a difference at all.

We got them in! Amen.! Initial thought is much better sound than stock. This is with my top on. We ended up cutting the bracket and it fit perfect! Thank you for your help!

And to add, I also had two polks for the sound bar. Stuffed with polyfil.

This pic is to show the adapter bracket in the box.

Here is the exact parts I purchased for the install. The adapters make it plug and play and no wiring needed.
