Radiator install issue

2006 TJ X, 6 speed manual.

Replaced a cracked radiator with the Mopar replacement and after recounting the shroud onto the factory holes on the radiator the shroud sits about 1 inch, the fan blades make contact at the bottom of the shroud.

Anyone else ever had it happen? I'm off to buy a new shroud- this one got broke lol

I've only ever seen that happen when adding a body lift. Did someone maybe previously drill a second set of holes in the shroud, which you used by mistake?

Do you have a body lift? If so you probably have new holes about 1" lower than the original ones in the shroud.

I cut my shroud at the bottom. The blades hit due to a BL.

It's MUCH better to just move the fan shroud down 1-1.25" than cut the bottom of the shroud off which significantly reduces its ability to pull air through the radiator.

Drilled a new set of holes in the shroud. But it is going to need replacement, it sustained some damage.
It never ends.

I agree 100%.
Luckily my system stays a constant temp just shy of 210 mark since it was cut over a year ago.
