Hey guys! So I've got an 06 Wrangler with the 2.4 (I know I should've held out for the 4.0) and I put cruise control on it cuz it's my daily and I drive about half an hour on the highway for work. I knew the steering wheel is the same as a WJ Grand Cherokee in the 05 and 06 Wrangler so I went to a junk yard and pulled the cruise control buttons off one of those and saved a ton of money and it worked great! Then I got to wondering, is it possible to graft the radio controls from a WJ steering wheel and run it to an aftermarket radio. Any thoughts?

You would need a WJ clock spring with the radio controls on it to carry the signal from the steering wheel. No TJ had that option and I’m not sure a WJ one will fit/work. If it did, all you would have to do is run wiring from the clock spring plug to whatever module you’re using to integrate the steering wheel controls with your aftermarket radio.
@kmas0n turned some CC buttons into radio controls, but that’s because he doesn’t have CC so he didn’t lose the feature.
