Rain got into my Jeep?!?!

So we had some hard rain a couple days ago and today I got in my jeep to run to town. When I was getting in, I noticed a puddle of water behind and beside the driver side seat. I have a hard top and it seems to be seated just fine. There is one bolt missing on the hardtop where it secures to the Jeep right behind the driver's seat, but the carpet going down to the floor is dry. Are there any common issues with the door weather stripping or maybe the doors not sealing at the top toward the front of Jeeps?

Sometimes the cowl drain can plug up from debris and leak water down the heater box. Pull the cowl cover and make sure the drain is clear. Mine leaked on the passenger side and ended being the windshield fame to tub weather stripping. Had to drop the windshield frame and run a bead of silicone along the top side of the gasket.

A Jeep windshield almost always leaks. Eventually I'll have mine figured out and not leaking again lol

So, I noticed the weather stripping/trim around the windshield is raised in the corners..I wonder if that was the reason. It has rained here a lot and no issues, but Tuesday was hurricane force winds and heavy rain which is common in the winter here so want to get that straight soon.

I did notice a part of the seatbelt was damp so I wander if the belt got caught on door catch and I didn't notice when I shut it and it may not have fully sealed too though.

I think I found the issue....there is a crack in the hard top over the door and it extends to the inside of the door weather stripping...i saw where it was going down the window and I guess it is going to the front and back of the door which is where all of my water is gathering

New hardtop is not an option here in Kodiak so I may look into a decent soft top, but may be patching until then.

I have the same problem on my 2005 LJ Hardtop. I did put weather stripping from amazon all the way around the door frame. It does stop leaking into the drivers door in medium rain but not in Harvey. I did learn that if I park on a side slope with the drivers door down hill it does not leak. I am thinking it runs off the top and drips outside of the door and does not enter the inside gap of the door. So now in wet weather I park with the drivers door down slope.

It has been raining for past few days and not really getting inside anymore than what got in on the day it was raining hard with heavy winds. I think I will try backing in my spot to keep the hard wind off of that side. I did pull one of the drain plugs and pulled the floor mat to help it dry up.
