Anybody installed this? If so any tips? I literally live in the forest in Atlanta an my radiator/condenser area is always full of leaves. I don’t really like the look of the push in inserts with my color Jeep so I got this on a warehouse deal on Amazon for $60

So do I - and I do have the push in style. But for the money one the 1 piece costs, I'll stay with the push-ins. $60 was a great deal, full buck not so much...
I feel the same. If I were to do it again, I'd still go with my $20 inserts vs $175 mesh with equal functionality. The mesh has a cleaner look that I was originally after though. Both accomplish keeping leaves/debris out of a radiator.

Maybe the extra $155 is worth it if my only other option was an angry bird grille :giggle:

A cursory look at my grille, it looks like you'd have to pull the radiator.

Easy enough, if tedious

If you want to wait till this god forsaken yankee style weather moves out, come down to southwest ATL and I'll lend a hand.

Thank you brother. According to the directions you only have to loosen the radiator and condenser. I saw on a review where someone said he was able to slide It in from the top with less hassle he just didn’t say how. I haven’t really checked it out yet so I was hoping someone else had done it and knew the trick. Thanks again for your offer!

FYI...Grill inserts can and do raise coolant and under hood temperatures 20 degrees so if you are in a hot summer day with the ac on can have over temp issues.

I think we should have a special category of forums for this.. and gas octane... Actual tire size...and any other debates that are a pure waste of time.
Using a non-OEM sensor on a replacement OPDA, Iridium plugs will kill your engine, stop leak will clog your cooling system, cold air intakes, angry bird grills, LED headlites are too blue, JKs and JLs are junk...

What brand of oil should I use again I forgot?
Yes now there's a touchy one... Especially in an engine that you could run practically anything you can get your hands on in and not hurt the blame thing.

I have told people the best oil is "enough" followed by "fresh."

I've seen dirt bike forums they just wear out chain maintenance products
... And some guy uses WD-40 and gets about the same amount of chain life.

These are the ONLY grille inserts I've seen that look okay. All the other ones look like they belong at Autozone.
Agreed. Not sure I would have paid $200 bucks for it but for the deal I got it was hard to pass up. The oneI got is gloss black with polished highlights so should look ok. But again I also want to keep all the leaves and pine straw out. When it rains here in my area of Atlanta this time of year you will literally get brown juice on on your vehicle from all the leaves and when it is dry they all swirl around and are sucked right in to the grille.
