Hello folks, I am 16 and I made a dumb decision.
A while back I added a 2 inch spring spacer to the front and a .75 spacer in the rear. It looks great, I have 31's and I think it looks awesome. Only problem was, I was on stock shocks and the ride quality is meh. I decided to research shocks to buy, and the winner was Rancho rs5000x. So many people love them and I've heard so many things about them. I was excited and didn't pay attention and just ordered ranch shocks for a 2-3 inch lift, thinking it would be okay since I do, have a 2 inch lift. I was severely mistaken. While installing them I had bolts snap on the rear and the ones on the front are completely rusted. It took me 12 hours to remove and install 4 shocks. I could feel when I was installing them that they weren't decompressing very far and they seemed to be too far compressed. After all this work I took it out for a drive and it had the same, if not worse ride quality than before. I was so pissed. I though well maybe my stock ones just drive amazing and this is what everyone drives with. But I figure not. SO, I need to find the correct Rancho rs5000x shocks for a 2 inch lift up front and a .75 inch on back. I hope that I can get a refund on the shocks. Idk if it's possible, but I sure as hell am gonna try. I would appreciate part numbers and recommendations. Preciate it folks.
