I bet. Modern keyboards started to suck in 1981 with the introduction of the IBM PC. Then they went downhill from there. Sometime in the late 80s, some COMPLETE FUCKING IDIOT at IBM decided that moving the control key from its time honored location next to the "A" key, and putting the almost useless caps lock key there instead would be a fantastic idea. Later, sometime after Y2K, Apple got into the "screw with keyboard" game and decided that bringing back the "Chicklet" keyboard was a fantastic idea. In both cases, the PC industry followed this Lemming purge right over the cliff to the detriment of everyone. What's next for Apple - bring back the membrane keyboard? I threw away countless 1 button mice because Apple's religion insisted that they only supply them because Jobs said it was a Good Thing (tm). Everybody threw them out and went with 2 button mice as a minimum - but if Apple were to introduce a membrane keyboard, that too would be a Good Thing (tm)...
The above keyboard seems to be nice - despite that goddamn caps lock key being in the location where the control key is supposed to be. That key is stepped too - more of IBM's nonsense, but as its the only key that is and its a useless one besides, that's forgivable. The keycaps seem to be the correct size, and there's actually a bit of slope and steps between the rows of keys.
IBM had the BEST keyboard in the world in 1981 - the one on the IBM Selectric typewriter. Instead of adapting that, they gave us a horrid flat thing with a weird layout, several stepped keys, key legends in the upper left corner of the keycaps, and worst of all - it was NOISY! I've been cussing keyboards ever since, and they haven't gotten better. Thank Goddess that all OSes now have a way to at least fix the control key baloney - but it wasn't always that way and I hardware hacked more than one keyboard in my time to fix it years back.
