Random Warning Chime

Random warning chime (the one you hear at start up or when ebrake is on) coming from my 2005 Rubicon. Seems to happen at speeds of 30 mph and above with headlights are on. When I come to stop, chime goes away. All gauges are reading proper levels. Other thing I noticed was left turn signal indicator on dash was barely illuminated when I went to shut off motor. Chime was not going off at this time. Flipped turn signal, light went off. Any suggestions?

I think you’re about to need a a multi function switch assembly- Gravity is pulling the lever down and telling the computer the signal is on too long - I would go ahead and do it because you’re going to get into other trouble and be conscious that some of the switches sold over the counter require you to save some of your parts to transfer over.

Thank you for reply. Other odd thing I just noticed … head lights off, front turn signal bulb and side marker front bulb flash at same time. Head lights on, the two alternate?? Normal?

That is all indicative of a failing multifunction switch- And they can completely short out and cause some real drama-

I really don’t know I had to end up getting the Carquest brand at one of the chain stores and it worked out OK but you have to be real mindful that you transfer things over from your existing mfs

Keep your receipt and talk to them about their return policy because there is some variation in manufacturing these days in aftermarket replacement parts- Every now and then you get something that just has some freaky difference that you don’t want

I've had similar thing happening a couple time lately. You're not alone in this.

Already on the look for one. I'll probably go to Rock Auto, just because.

Checked rock auto. Mopar was out of stock. Bought Crown brand multifunction switch from Quadratec. Hope to get it in this weekend. Will update once installed.

Pretty sure that's normal.
I know it was on my older Jeeps.
