2004 Rubicon .. rewired the lockers so I can control independantly so.. question is if I add a second e-brake meaning one to each rear wheel will the rear axle allow one wheel to stop and the other to turn with the front only locked to pivot tight turns or does the diff on a rubi have limited slip to prevent it .. have seen something on trac-loc vs tru-loc diff.. not sure if this idea will work so need info before begining it

thanks in advance

Cutting brakes on stock parking brakes? They won't survive long for that particular use, so the question doesn't matter.

Before the parking brake tears apart, the lifespan of the LSD will be shortened every time the cutting brakes get used. Eventually the LSD will tear apart for all the same reasons that are discussed for why the Rubicon LSD is fragile.

That's the answer I wanted thank you.. no separate rear brakes

You could install a line lock solenoid. I was thinking about something like that.

You'd need two...one for each side...and since you wouldn't want them on the axle you'd need another soft line.

Basically grab the existing hard line on the frame rail and install a T...second soft line cable tied to the existing...cap off the T/axle vent side of the T that runs to the right side, put in a coupler.

Then you'd just need to power up and switch the solenoids.

Theoretically you could get rid of the parking brake and cable too.

All theoretical.

Assuming line locks sufficiently accomplish the goal of cutting brakes on this axle, the Rubicon LSD is still going to tear itself apart the more it gets used for it's purpose as a limited slip.

Yeah I wasn't thinking about that...I was thinking about my Eaton E-Locker since it's an open diff unlocked.
