I have the Dirtworx rear, it's been great. I use the receiver hitch to hold a 'tire support' for a 37" tire.

So I too am looking for a new rear bumper and sorry for digging up an old thread but hey its on topic. Below is a link to the Rock Hard bumper I love. I just cant get over that price. I would like to relocate my tire and jack (HATE IT ON THE HOOD) to the bumper and maybe a cargo carrier. I just don't see any others that offer all that. Smittybuilt has one close but I don't see a place to mount the jack. You guys have cost me a fortune in great ideas lol.

I don't know about the Rock Hard 4x4 swingout carrier, but those are usually looked down on around here because of a variety of problems that seemingly always occur with the mechanism. The go-to suggestion is the MoRyde tailgate carrier.
Several bumpers have a similar design to that one without the swingout carrier. I know my Warn Rock Crawler is pretty much identical with the tapered ends and a hitch receiver. At any rate, check out Fluxor's rear bumper offering. $2k is a lot of money for that Rock Hard 4x4. I imagine you can get everything you want for less than $1k if you go another direction.
Yeah most important is getting the jack off the hood and maybe some integrated accessory options like jerry can or cargo tray mounts. I could probably fab those up myself if I had to. I think mine has a beefed up tailgate mount I just like the extras in that one. I am definitely not paying 2k.
I’d definitely want the high jack off the hood. I can’t imagine how bad that could be in a highway collision or offroad mishap. I personally don’t carry one because the main usage is covered by the bottle jack which is good enough to work with 35’s. Just bring a few square pieces of board (I use 1.5” butcher block) for a level surface if needed.
Jerry cans I forego too. I just make sure I have enough gas and water for wherever I’m going.
Weight is the enemy of performance, so I try to carry only what I need. There are many lists in threads, and they are all helpful, but you’ll have to be the one who makes those final decisions.

I'd suggest starting with a carrier that's independent of the bumper. The Moryde is one and I think the Exogate might be the same. I ran the Exogate for a while. It was fine with up to 35".
I moved up to 37" and replaced the carrier with the Rusty's carrier. Cavfab is another option that is independent of the bumper and can handle 37"+.
Regarding getting your jack off the hood: Many hate those high lift jacks, me included. I bought a Harbor Freight bottle jack and got rid of the hi lift. If you must keep the hi lift, I've seen people mount them to the inside of the rear roll bar. At least that takes the weight off the rear and off the hood.

If you need another voice of reasoning. I had a high lift jack and have since gotten rid of it. Never needed it, was heavy, and the times I used it were close calls to other problems. Never needed extra gas but I can’t say you won’t need it if you’re really doin those trips but I’d look into an extended tank from genright before I started adding tanks externally.
If you’re set on keeping those things I would still try looking at a tub mounted swing out like genright or metal cloak tire carriers that can support the weight unlike those single swing outs. They’re still heavy and adding all that weight to the heavy mount is something I would never consider but atleast they won’t rattle and bend like the bumper mounted swing out will.
The best option and Things I would do is a reinforced hinge and tire carrier like the one on fluxoffroad.com or the moryde and then get what ever bumper you want that’s separate. They’re much lighter, don’t fail, and frankly cheaper too.

This is what I have now. I think it's a rugged ridge. I'll look into if it has a jack mount attachment on it. I'm not opposed to a bottle jack my stock one just looks way too small lol.
I think that's the MOryde on my jeep but I can't find a mark on it. Looking at the jack mount for it. Prolly keep the high lift for now.
