Rear Pinion Angle Validation for 2005 Rubicon

I recently installed Tom Woods DC drive shaft and Savvy rear upper control arms and want to make sure I have it as dialed in as possible.

Is the appropriate angle for the pinion 1-2 degrees below the drive shade angle?

There are some that say they should be at the same angle. Thanks!

Anything from 2° below, up to 0°, is okay, as long as you don't have driveline vibes. An offset of around 1° below will exercise the u-joint a little, making the needle bearings happier. Adjust it within those parameters until it's smooth at highway speeds.

I've read 1-3° is acceptable. I have mine about 1.5 °. An electronic magnetic angle finder makes doing it a breeze and they're fairly inexpensive.

A little over a year ago I made my pinion/driveshaft as straight as it could possibly look by the naked eye. I thought I'd have to actually verify what angle I have but I've had no vibrations and just figure it's close to zero degrees.

I have a rear woods drive shaft that I am I'm the process of dialing in.

I have had it adjusted between 2.5 to zero degrees below the drive shaft angle. Still small vibes though and a minor rhythmic vibe around 45 mph.

I found it the smoothest, but a small margin, with a pinion angle around 1 degree below the drive shaft angle.

I had slight vibes at 70 MPH with the pinion 1.5° low, which went away when I tilted it to 1° low.

The appropriate angle is the one that removes the vibrations in your Jeep. The angles on ours doesn't matter.
